Ben Sit
RD (CDN), RDN
Registered Dietitian and Sports Dietitian
Creator, Producer and TV Show Host of Highway to Health
Ben’s journey as a Registered Dietitian and Sports Dietitian is fueled by a unique intersection of science, sport, and culinary art. With a deep understanding of how nutrition fuels performance and overall health, Ben helps clients navigate the complex relationship between food and well-being.
Ben’s formal training began at Ryerson University’s School of Nutrition and was honed during his Dietetic Internship at Sunnybrook Hospital in 2010. To specialize in performance, he later earned his Sports Dietitian Certificate from the Sports Dietitians of Australia. This scientific foundation is balanced by Ben’s practical experience as both a chef and an athlete. Having trained in professional kitchens and competed in sports himself, Ben translates complex nutritional science into delicious, actionable strategies for real life.
Over the years, Ben’s clientele has been as diverse as his background—from weekend warriors and nationally ranked competitors to Olympic athletes and high-profile individuals. This experience taught Ben that peak performance requires more than just a meal plan. Ben’s practice has evolved to embrace a holistic, coaching-oriented approach. By integrating techniques from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies, Ben specializes in supporting those struggling with disordered eating. Ben’s goal is to help clients rebuild a trusting and peaceful relationship with food by addressing the emotional, hormonal, and environmental factors that shape their eating behaviours.
For Ben, this work is a true calling. When he is not immersed in the latest exercise science research or training for his next workout, you’ll almost certainly find him in the kitchen, blending his pastry chef training with a passion for global flavours.
